Country Progress

In June 2012, world leaders renewed the promise during the global launch of Committing to Child Survival: A Promise Renewed. Since then, nearly 180 governments have pledged to scale up efforts to accelerate declines in preventable maternal, newborn and child deaths and 30 countries have launched sharpened country strategies for eliminating preventable maternal, newborn and child deaths.

These pages showcase the efforts being led by countries and the results and achievements they are generating – the result of partnerships between government, civil society and communities around the world.
